Taking a break

Due to the ever increasing size of my belly, the decreasing amount of energy I have during the day, and the already swelling of my feet when I'm on my feet for too long, I have been advised by both my husband and my doctor that I need to take it easy and rest when I can.

With that being said, unfortunately I will not be able to continue this wonderful hobby turned mini career that I enjoyed so much. I simply cannot bend down and lay on the ground like I used to to get the best shot (for obvious reasons). I simply do not have the energy to stay up pass 8:30 - 9:00pm - which is my only available time for photo editing and ordering.

I want to thank all my wonderful clients who trusted me as a new and upcoming business lady with a passion for photography. I look forward to working with you once again. I plan on getting 'back on the horse' as they say a few months after baby #2 arrives and I have an established schedule that allows me to start working again.

That's one cute JACK-o-lantern!

I couldn't call myself a blogger without sharing our first Halloween experience with the cutest Jack-o-lantern in our neighborhood. It must be said that this kid DOES NOT keep anything on his head. Somehow, maybe it was the spirit of Halloween, he managed to leave his hat on long enough for us to go trick-or-treating.

Ok, so Bobby and I were supposed to be "farmers" (you know...with a pumpkin patch) - though I came off looking like a bum ready to cut grass for cash and Bobby resembled Luigi from Mario Brothers. Oh well, next year we'll get it together. I have a puppy, a one year old and a baby sucking my energies - the idea of costumes didn't cross my mind until 20 minutes before trick-or-treating time.

By the third house, he had it down. No that's definitely not me holding his hand. That's his Grams. I am behind the camera. What's new?! I really wish someone else in my family would fancy the idea of becoming a photographer and give me a break.

I saw a commercial on TV a while back about a Delta Touch Faucet. It just seems to make so much sense. No germs from uncooked food - no paint - no nasties in general on the faucet handles. Anything that screams germ-free is (or seems to be) a good product and worthy of a spot on my christmas list.

Just as I was about to put it on my amazon.com wishlist, I made a quick check of the customer reviews. eesssshhhh - they weren't good and with a price point close to $300....wow! I feel like I just saved $300. As a matter of fact, after I typed that last sentence, I transfered $300 from my checking account to Jack's savings account. So here's a quick thank you to those who ventured down the faucet aisle at Home Depot and made this seemingly bad purchase before me. I appreciate your review for it just made my 11-month old just a little bit richer.

Two adults and two highchairs, please.

No, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you and yes, that is MY pregnancy test!

It took us two years and SEVERAL thousand dollars worth of fertility treatments to finally get pregnant with Jack. When my doctor asked if I'd like to get on birth control after jack was born, I quickly reponded with "What's the point? It's not like I could get pregnant on my own anyway." "Plus, it may be fun to have a 'OMG Bobby, what are we going to do?' moment." (Not even believing my own words would ever actually come true.)

So there you go. We have a [free!] miracle baby on the way. We will call him or her 'number 2' until we find out what we are having.

It's going to take me a while to get used to the idea of having two babies under two - and not to mention a puppy under one! With my mom half a mile down the road, I know I'll have all the help I need to make it through. A white picket fence, two kids and a dog - I don't think our family could be any more complete than this. We truly are a very lucky and blessed family.

If you know me well, you know that Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year. Imagine my excitement when I was asked to do a photo shoot for a group of kiddies in their Halloween costumes!!!

Mr. Grant was a spider...a rather sweet and harmless spider I must say.
